Masonry Shield 5 – Salt Away

With the increase in imported facing bricks and changes in the brick manufacturing processes there has been an increased potential for efflorescence to present itself.

Although deemed to be only a temporary, unsightly blemish, this deposit can take up to 10 years to finally stop displaying if left untreated and, on many occasions, create problems with clients and residents who do not want aesthetically unacceptable elevations / facades.

MS No5 is to be used as a remover of salt deposits , “efflorescence”, on brick elevations or horizontal surfaces and then for MS No1 to be applied to prevent further activation through water ingress.

The reinforced concrete industry is now working with Masonry Shield on applications to their products both on site and in factory situations.
